Ounabara Vocational School in Yakuza Like A Dragon provides Kasuga Ichiban with a structured way to enhance his personal stats and unlock new gameplay opportunities in Yokohama. By enrolling in various certification courses, players can test their knowledge across diverse subjects while directly boosting Kasuga's Personality stats. Understanding how the exam system works ensures you maximize your rewards and save valuable yen during your playthrough.
How the Ounabara Vocational School Exam System Works
Players can access the Ounabara Vocational School located in East Jinnai Station during Chapter 4 after completing a specific side story. Each test consists of five multiple-choice questions selected randomly from a pool of ten potential queries per subject. To pass an exam, Kasuga must answer at least three out of five questions correctly within the given time limit.
Taking these tests requires an upfront tuition fee, which ranges from lower amounts for basic subjects to higher costs for advanced certifications. Failing an exam means losing the entry fee, making preparation and careful decision-making crucial before attempting difficult tests. Fortunately, passing a test grants immediate personality stat boosts that permanently improve Kasuga's capabilities.
Key Vocational School Exam Answers and Subjects
The curriculum covers a wide array of topics including history, mathematics, sports, music, and Yakuza lore. Questions range from real-world general knowledge regarding world heritage sites to specific details about local cuisine and gaming history. Preparing beforehand allows players to consistently pass each test on their first attempt without wasting hard-earned cash.
Special exams like the Ounabara Proficiency Test synthesize questions from all previous courses into a challenging final assessment. Completing every individual course unlocks this comprehensive exam, which offers significant stat bonuses upon successful completion. Reviewing earlier test material helps maintain a high success rate when tackling this ultimate academic challenge.
Personality Stat Rewards and Character Progression
Passing exams at the vocational school is one of the most effective methods to raise Kasuga's six Personality stats: Passion, Charisma, Kindness, Guts, Intellect, and Confidence. Each completed certificate grants a targeted boost to one or more of these attributes depending on the exam topic. High personality stats are essential for unlocking new job classes, recruiting business management employees, and accessing unique dialogue options.
Beyond statistical growth, completing all available courses triggers a unique bond event that further enriches the story experience in Yokohama. Investing time and currency into education significantly streamlines overall character progression throughout the main narrative. Taking full advantage of the vocational school ensures your party remains versatile and ready for any challenge in Ijincho.
