CBJ Today: That winning feeling 🏒
Even with no one to hug postgame, Merzlikins, Jackets happy to get back in the win column.
For the first time in three weeks, the Blue Jackets got a win last night. The 1-0 score belied the nature of the game, as Columbus and Detroit traded chances all night, and only the spectacular goaltending of Elvis Merzlikins and Thomas Greiss kept it a scoreless game until the Jackets prevailed in a shootout. Now, something odd for the season - a break, as Columbus won't play until Saturday in Carolina. That means the team is off today before a workout tomorrow and a full practice Friday.
