Senators past Jets

Rookie Tim Stutzle scores 1st NHL hat trick to lead surging Senators past Jets 🏒

Rookie Tim Stutzle was full of praise for his teammates after notching his first NHL hat trick. Stutzle, the third overall pick in last year's NHL draft, scored three goals to lead the surging Ottawa Senators past the Winnipeg Jets 4-2 on Saturday night. Leading 2-1 in the third period, Stutzle restored Ottawa's two-goal lead with his second goal of the night at 5:11 — a quick release up high from the faceoff circle past an off-balance Connor Hellebuyck.
