Canadiens rookie Cole Caufield buries overtime winner for first NHL goal 🏒
I’m sure no player ever forgets scoring their first NHL goal, but Montreal Canadiens rookie Cole Caufield will have quite the story to tell about his.
Saturday night, on Hockey Night in Canada, the highly-touted Habs youngster buried his first career goal in overtime to lift the Canadiens past the Ottawa Senators.
Caufield was Montreal’s first-round selection in the 2019 draft. He recently wrapped up his final year at the University of Wisconsin, scoring 30 goals and 52 points in 31 games. He was named the Hobey Baker Award winner as the NCAA’s best player during the 2020-21 campaign.
